Default Driving AWD Pilot without propeller shaft

A friend of mine and I were talking and we were wondering, is it possible to drive an AWD Pilot without the propeller shaft, effectively converting an AWD into a FWD?
I know it's crazy, but this question is mainly educational.

Its not crazy. Having off roaded many times, there is always a moment when something can happen requiring removal of the propeller shaft. No damage has resulted when we've done that.

However since an AWD Pilot operates in FWD mode for most of the time anyway, I don't think its worth the effort.

So rocky, did you get a CEL or anything like that because the rear deferential is not getting any motion yet the car is moving?

I've not done it with a Pilot but with a CRV it does not even recognize that the propshaft is not there. Done it with many of them.
