Everything about my pilot's brakes and parking brake work flawlessly, except... the driver rear brake makes scrapes whenever I make aggressive right turns. This started only after I replaced the rotors and pads. The bearing is solid. I have not found anything unusual with the parking brake shoes or drum. All the pad shims are in place. The brake adjuster was loosened 11 clicks. I have experimented with fewer clicks with no success.
Any ideas? |

Thanks for the reply.
Yes I think I put Wagner ceramic pads on the back. Based on what you said, I now presume that the caliper must be moving just enough to press harder on the inside of the rotor during my right turn. Do you think this could be the case? So I am now expecting the scrapping to change over time as the pads wear. It already seems a bit quieter after a few thousand miles. |
