Smile 06 Rollover

Hey Im new, just to let you guys no I have been searching on this web site for the past year now so today I decided to get an account, glad I did. Well to let you know my story I have had 2 Pilots in 1 year for 1 reason. Last June my wife decides she and my son need to take my white 2006 exl navi 4wd Pilot. I said sure and handed her the keys. A few hours later she calls and said shes been in an accident and the Pilot flippd on its side. I asked her if she was okey and what happend and she said her and our son were just fine but shaken up, she said a Honda Odyssey came at 45mph and hit the passenger side of the Pilot (whare my son was sitting) she also said all the air bags deployed including the curtain air bags and thats what saved them. I came to the seen and it was UNBELIEVABLE seeing that Pilot flipped over, but they escaped from the sunroof. The lady in the Odyssey was not hurt as well, speaks on how safe Hondas are. Glad my wife took my safe Pilot, they escaped the jaws of death!!!! Well shortly after, we got a check from the injurance company and got another Pilot for no extra cost exept it is a 2007 black with navi and 2wd, figured I didnt need the 4wd. So anyway ill try to post pics of the wreck ASAP.

welcome to hp.org! wow, that must have been a very harrowing experience for you. i'm glad nobody was hurt. it must have been quite a collision for the pilot to be knocked onto its side. the pilot and ody are both very safe vehicles, and after reading your story, i feel even more confident driving mine. what a coincidence, i also have a white 4wd pilot with navi, but i would have preferred a black one. wanna trade?

Thanks, well I acually like the white a little better, but I love my black when it is clean! When I bought the black I really wanted a white but they only had 2 in the state, and the wife was tramitized from the accident since it was white, yeah its weird looking at those curtain air bags, glad the car worked as it was designed.

Thanks for sharing your story.

I kind of feel Hondas are more safe than Toyota also.

All my Honda buddies feel the same way also.

Is that true?

My Toyota buddies disagree by a slim margin. They also post pics, because

Think you can only post one picture at a time.

Looks like the steering took a hit!
