Just did the deal myself. I've had my Pilot for 2 months and decided to call Sirius XM to renew from the trial. The very nice person on the end of the line told me about the value of the 2-year plan for $200+ that gives you 3 months effectively free. I asked if the $77 for one year deal or $25 for 5 month deal were available, and he immediately said he could give me the $77 for one year.
I declined to give him a credit card number and asked to be billed, which costs an extra $2. My total including taxes, fees and the $2 billing fee is $87 and change, which I will be billed when my 3 month trial ends. Very happy so far - however the 'pay-per-device' approach that Sirius XM has is a bit cheeky. This is my first foray into satellite radio and I woudn't mind getting a receiver for the house, but it becomes expensive - hell I only pay $12 per month for Netflix anywhere I want to watch it.

Just got it again after the $77 plan last year. I had to ask for a new agent but I was off the phone in 10 minutes. The agent called it the 1/2 off plan. It was actually $5 cheaper than last year.

I just renewed for $77 two weeks ago. After the musical royalty fee and taxes the total was $91.
The first customer service rep sucked and it was some foreign call center due to the accent and crappy phone connection. Once, I told him that I wanted to cancel my subscription due to it being $142 for a year, I was transferred to a U.S. rep. I asked if there were any promotions going on and she said they could honor the same price I paid last year at $77+fees/taxes. |

Just renewed my second year of service at $77 plus fee's. Just called in and said my 1 year subscription was up and asked if they had and offers similar to the one last year and the rep said he could offer me the same subscription for one more year

Yes, I have a co-worker that did it just a few months ago. Mine is up this month, so I'll be giving it a shot as well.

Does anyone know how far in advance they will renew at the $77 deal? I have one radio expiring this week and another in May. Just wondering if I could get them to renew both at $77 now, or would I need to do one now and wait till closer to May to do the second one?

Just renewed mine for $23 total for 5 months just 1½ weeks ago. The wife got her's renewed for $29 for 6 months just last Friday. Say you want the promotion rate and to expire at the end of promotion. Also tell them to send you an invoice so that you don't have to give them you credit card number (an assurance that they don't continue to charge).

Let it expire and you get an even better deal. I just received an incentive, by mail, for $25/6 months. They are hurting bad.
Still, I'm not going to bite. There is NO value there anymore for me. Not with Pandora and a bazillion mp3's available to me via iPod. I'd rather have the service with ads, for free, than pay anything for it without ads. |

Took one call and 1 transfer to get the price. I did say to both agents I was willing to cancel my service and wait for the promotions to roll in.. but really wanted to keep this simple for all of us.
They have my card on file, whick is no problem with me. I just keep track of the dates and call prior to expiration. When I retire, I may join the "call every 5 month club". But for now, keep it simple. |

I have not renewed mine for 2+ years. Yesterday in the mail I got an offer for $25 for 6 months.

Is there any offer code or anything on the mailing? I'm wondering if I call and mention it if there is anyway they can tell I don't actually have the mailing? I have the intro promotion for about 40 more days.
