Hi Magee31...
There are several threads that have info about the various extended warranties available. Here's one of them:
http://www.honda-pilot.org/forums/sh...ended+warranty

If you to a search on "extended warranty" you'll find several more.
Welcome to the group! Do you have your Pilot yet or are you doing your 'homework' before you buy?

Default Frustrated because....

I'm pretty sure I saw a thread some time back regarding whether the Cargo Nets sold as accessories by Tim and others was different than the one that some got with their Pilots. I have searched until I'm in danger of getting fired; but cannot find. I'm obviously too stupid to know how to use the one I got with "Sandy" because I can't hook it up in such a way as to be of much use. I apologize for starting this whole thing over again, but if the ones from Tim are bigger and can be used vertical (to form a pocket) instead of lying flat on the floor and used like a blanket I'll buy one.

Did you find all the places to hook the cargo net straps into?
Note there is a set about a foot off the cargo bed, just inside the back lift gate. These used for the top of the net provide the "pocket" effect and helps to keep stuff from falling out the back.
Is this what you mean?

Default Not exactly

What I would like to be able to do is form a V with the net. That means fastening at the top at all four corners so I have a pocket made solely with the net and not using any part of the Pilot. I don't want stuff to move against any side of the vehicle. I can't stretch the net enough to do this.

It's the cargo net. It is different from the one that comes with the Pilot. You can go the Hondacuraworld.com and look under interior accessories and see a pic of the net. It stretches across the hooks and forms a nest. I bought one. It doesn't seem to stretch as well as what you see in the photo, but I have not really tried to use it much.

Default co-pilot

Check out the cargo carrier. It's great - It's sturdy but has soft sides and folds up when you don't wanna use it, has 3 compartments and attaches to floor of cargo area when you want it to.

That's great! Be sure you go visit Havasu and get your Pilot info in the VIN TABLE. Here's the thread...

Thumbs up

Thank you
I was thinking it best to work with a dealership, so I was glad to see your reply. I will of course get more than one quote on the Pilot. I hope to have the Evergreen Pearl, EX-L with RES and add a sunroof in my furture
Really depends on the price.

Thank you Again

Tony put a picture of the highland 3 pocket cargo net that he nominated as his "best" accessory in this thread.

Question Some concerns after ordering

Hi everyone. Thanks for this informative site. I Ordered a Pilot ex cloth - sandstone about 3 weeks ago and anticipate that I will be waiting for it for several weeks.
After reviewing this site pretty thoroughly, I'm having some concerns and would love some feedback from people who've driven the pilot for a while. Here they are. I keep hearing about the bad tires (both goodyear and bridgestone) and the breaking distance seems quite long. What have you been noticing about tires and the breaks. What about all the rattles and other noises that I'm hearing about. Are most people experiencing this. Also I have concerns about the second row center seat (pullout cupholder and tray) that seems hard as a rock and I fear that my kid sitting in the middle seat of second row will be tortured on long trips. What have your passengers thought about the second row middle seat? The seatbelts in the middle row and rear seating seem a little cheap. Will they be safe. How comfortable and firm are the front seats. I've heard mixed reviews about front seat comfort and support. I've been driving a Volvo S70 with superb seats and fear that i will be taking a major step down in the seat department. I'm also concerned about some reports about the headlights. I drive on unlit country highways and dirt roads every day. Will the headlights be good enough. I've also hear about some problem with radio reception. I live in the boonies of new england with far away radio stations. What have you noticed about this. So lets's start with thes concerns. I would love your feedback. Thanks

Have had my Pilot for all of 30 hours, so take this for what it's worth.

After 140 miles I can tell you that I have Zero "Buyers" remorse.
My wife's car is an S70 and yes, the seats are a bit more comfortable, in fact they are the most comfortable I've ever been in, but trading them for a far superior seating position is a "No Brainer". I will admit I'm a bit disapointed in the Pilot seat comfort and "Quality" but it's a small point. They are still good enough.

I like the brakes in the Pilot a lot better. Overall the car has a great feel, confidant, sturdy and secure. We could have gotten in line at Volvo for the XC90, would have been #85 on the list, paid $10k more and been on the Volvo "Service Leash" but one Volvo in this family is enough.

As far as rattles and noises go, all I have heard is the gas "Slosh" or more accuratly a thump. No other noises.

At 65 MPH the car is as smooth as a baby's back side, effortless, an absolute pleasure to drive. Forget everthing else, this is what it's all about. BTW, I drive an Explorer an avg 750 miles/week for work. I wanted a "car" ride, not a truck ride, somthing that I could look forward to after driving after a 200 mile day in the Explorer.

So far our 9 yr old is captivated by the Navi system, today we took a ride with 2 of his friends and we had to dole out time slots for the middle seat for the best view of the moving map. He thinks the round slot in the tray ment for the fast food "Dipping sauce" is the greatest. There is no comfort issue.

The headlights are "Cutoff" on the top like the HID headlights. You can see about 4 "Broken white line dashes" ahead of you. I would like more, but it's adequate at "sane" speeds. The brights in the Volvo are superior to the Pilot's, they are the brigest I've ever seen but the Pilot's are adequate. Again, the overall advantages in the Pilot win.

I was also concerned about the "Window Antenna" . It actually works. I'm in the suburbs of NYC and while I haven't pushed the coverage it seems to work OK.

Bottom line is the wife's S70 is nice with admittedly superior seating comfort, and somewhat more dazzling headlights, but the Pilot beats it in every other and I mean every other feature, hands down...

Thanks that was the one I was looking for. Don't have any Pep Boys in the area so I'll have to see where else they are available.

The tires are OK, but just OK. I have the Goodyears, I don't worry about them, but I will be getting Michilens as soon as I can wear them out.
The braking distance seems very good for a vehicle of this weight.
The tests show it is not as good as others (at the absolute limits) but they have good feel and control, so hopefully that makes up for it by avoiding the need to get to the limits.
Mine is rattle free (except for a minor buzz that was easily fixed).
Yep, it is hard, I did not point it out to my kids, and they have not complained. with 2 kids it gets little use on long trips, but when alone, my son loves that seat for the view.
Not sure, about the belts. I have to believe they pass all the test, but it is not a Volvo.
The headlights are as good as any other non-european H4 type I have seen. They are greatly added by going to +30% or +50% type bulbs. They are aimed a bit low from the factory, but that is due to the changes in ride height as you load the Pilot.
They were perfect when I had it loaded for camping. It is an easy change to raise them a few degrees.
Radio reception is OK, not as good as my CR-V with a stick antenna, better than my old Range Rover with on glass antenna.

Hope this helps, and just relax
