Exclamation Cargo liner

Looking to protect entire cargo area (with second row seats down) from hauling "stuff" and the dogs. The parts guy at the local Honda dealer said that most customers who buy the Honda cargo liners bring them back dissatisfied.

He said that the Velcro fasteners are poorly designed and rip easily.

Anyone have experience with the cargo liner or can recommend other options to protect carpeting for the entire cargo area.

Hi, Just bought my Pilot 3/17/03, Hi-Ho Silver, away......... EX

This site is fantastic, can't wait to hear it all! Only 130 miles so
far, but I plan on doing a lot more "piloting". New to the forum
and wanted to know the best way to navigate the site.

I'm very interested in the tow package, but want to know if I do a group buy, who installs all the cooling features. Would someone please let me know about their towing experiences?

Thank you all!

I don't have the factory hitch/coolers but I can give you some advice on navigating this site. Use the SEARCH feature. A search on tow package or factory hitch will return a number of discussions regarding the information you seek. Good luck.

I am about to purchase a Pilot after wrestling with the idea of buying a pre-owned MDX, good idea?

One dealer said EX-L comes with heated seats, another that an install after delivery would be $485, also something told to me by the one Pilot owner I ran into in my city.

Has the CD changer issue been resolved after discussion. In-dash v. under seat, factory or not?

Cargo liner, rear mud flaps, mats-good choices?

Defferential fluid change every 15K?
Thank you for your input!

I must have missed something! I didn't know the in-dash option for the EX had been sorted out. Yes - No?

As for me, I did a little $$ comparison and decided simply to purchase a 10GB iPod. Less money and more music available.

Sorry - I just went back and read "EX in-dash changer?" and see that the dash-mount 6-CD Changer must now be available.

Default heated seats

Thanks to a reply posted here, I understand Pilots for the USA (I live in Massachusetts) do not come with heated leather. Question: order the Pilot with the leather seats and have heaters installed, or as suggested by one dealer, order the cloth seats and do the leather/heater after-market? HELP!

There have been a few discussions on this, do a search to find all of the different threads that touched upon it. There also have been some people who have experienced "saggy" factory leather so that may change your opinion. I would weigh the cost vs. convience (will the aftermarket installer offer you the same service as Honda, if there is a problem?) and make a decision.

Question Double-stroller fitting in the back?

Hey, y'all. I was just curious: can you fit a double-stroller in the back of the Pilot with the 3rd-row seat up? I've heard conflicting stories about this. We've got 2 wee ones and are looking at the Pilot....thanks!

Hi there SUV Shopper. While I have not tried to fit any stroller in the back I remember how much space my son's single stroller took in our old car's trunk. I doubt that a double stroller would fit. If it did it would be a tight fit. I remember reading a thread on the board where someone asked that very question. Someone recommended that they bring their stroller down to the dealer and try it out. I can't imagine that the dealer would have a problem with that. If they did, I would try another dealer. I don't remember reading anything on this subject after that but that doesn't mean that the person didn't give it a shot and report back.
With just 2 little ones, why leave the rear seat up? It really is simple to fold down and it folds flat so there is no problem loading/unloading.

Default Running Board Installation

To those who did it themselves

Is it doable for a not-so-handy guy? Did you have to drill holes? What other tools were needed?

Thanks!!

I have not yet installed them (I'm going to get the side steps), but here is a link to the install instructions.

No drilling installed and from what I've heard other members say, it is not complicated, only physically challenging. Having someone help would probably make it much easier ("...you hold while I put in the bolts and tighten...").

You don't even need help, since the brackets go on first then the running boards get attached.

Way easy, its a 1 beer job, wait, there is no such thing as a one beer job! (always two there are, quoting Yoda)
