To tell what you are next to, use the + - on the bar at the left (not the four way compass set up, that's for navigating). Keep zooming it on your location until you can see some identifiable intersections or landmarks.

As to your number, unless you signed on early, I guess all you can do is start counting and hope you are # 187,317!

Like sporty said, use the + sign to scroll in real close then switch to satellite mode to see a satellite pic of your neighborhood (forest)......

Just added myself. Surely there are more people in the D/FW area!

BTW, there is an option to move your marker to a more appropriate place. I needed to find out how because mine initially ended up in a spot I wouldn't want to be (even in cyberspace).
