An oldie, but goodie...need to type this quick before my wife comes in the room..
Adam was walking around the Garden of Eden feeling very alone. Suddenly, he heard a booming voice: "Adam, what troubles you?" "Lord, this is a beautiful place, however, I'm lonely and have no one to share it with." Adam replied. Then the loud voice said "I understand, Adam, and shall make you a companion of your own flesh called 'woman' who shall cook and clean for you and always agree with your every decision. This 'woman' shall bear your children and care for them and shall freely give you love, attention and compassion whenever you desire it."
Adam tentatively responded "That sounds wonderful Lord, but I'm not sure I understand the 'of your own flesh' part. Does that mean you'll be using a part of my body to make this 'woman'?"
The Lord responded "Why of course Adam, creating a 'woman' like that shall require an arm and a leg."
To which Adam quietly asked, "Lord, what can I get for just a rib?"
The rest is history...
