I have loaded about 30 albums onto a USB. in my computer they properly show up as folders with album titles and in the folders are the titles of the songs. When I connect the USB to the port in my Pilot, the song titles are listed on the menu, but there are no artists or album titles. The songs are not listed in any coherent way on the Pilot's menu (not alphabetical, definitely not collected in albums), so I have about 400 songs randomly showing up on the menu. Does anybody know what I could do about this? My computer is a Mac.

Are those mp3's properly tagged? What is the origin of these mp3's? Are they downloaded from some place, or ripped from CDs? If ripped, what software was used for the ripping?

The primer from scooterboy5 on how to tag mp3 file on usb flashdrive was very very helpful. Thank you so much , especially the research on the publisher and language tags. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why there were 2 listings of my genre "guitar - flamenco" for 4 cds from Jesse Cook. As it turned out, 2 of my cds contained publisher info.
Thanks so much. |
