Default sun visor light?

So every time you open the mirror the lights turn on, but my wife like to have that mirror open to keep a look at our child, is there a way to turn off those lights on demand? I tried adding a switch, but there is just no space to make it look pretty on the mirror area.

Thanks.

Not sure of your model year but 2009-2013's have a conversation mirror in the center overhead console (also a eyeglass cubbie). It gives a panorama view of the back seat.

Can't you buy one and install it? My 2005 didn't come with one, but I bought one online and changed it out.

The EX-L and Touring have a sunroof, and it looks like their overhead console is quite different from EX/LX. You can see the difference here:

Honda Pilot Parts - Bernardi Honda Parts and Accessories

I doubt the conversation mirror on EX-L can be adapted to the EX - but you can try.
