Default Aftermarket HU using the OEM XM Antenna

Good day Ladies and Gents,

I've been a lurker here for some time now and appreciate all of the collective knowledge and ideas that IU have gained for my now fellow piloteers.

I have a problem that I hope some has seen before.

The first thing to know is that I am not a professional installer.
I have a 2009 Pilot EX and am in the process of changing the HU to a Pioneer AVH-P3400BH. I would like to install a GEWX-P920XM satelite digital tuner but use the OEM antenna. Any ideas how I accomplish this?

Thanks in advance for any and all your help.

So you want to use the Satellite tuner in conjunction with a aftermarket antenna to pull in regular stations too?

Default Did you ever figure this out?

Also looking to install a Pioneer GEX-P920XM XM receiver in a 2006 Honda Pilot with factory installed OEM XM radio, and would like to use the OEM XM antenna if possible.

Also, any advice on where to install the GEX? Its freakin huge...

I have installed the Pioneer AVH-P4400BH with AWIC steering wheel control adapter and parking brake override from Amazon - all works great. Just looking to finish up the install with the XM adapter.

Did any of you figure something out on the antenna?

I am installing an after market stereo, with the V200 XM tuner. I was thinking splicing the wires and adding the new adapter to the old antenna.

Any thoughts?
