Default Entertainment for 2nd & 3rd rows?

I have a 2011 Pilot, base model. I don't want to go through the hassle of installing a DVD player in the roof of the vehicle. Right now I have a portable dual DVD player that plugs into the AV outlet. It works fine except for the following:

1. We have 2 boys, 1 girl. The boys enjoy sitting in the 3rd row together and the girl enjoys sitting in the 2nd row by herself.

2. The dual DVD players hook together so they can play the same DVD which means there's a wire hanging between the two (which I cinched up so it doesn't dangle). Since the boys are now in the back, the TV on the passenger side is going unused.

3. Right now I have kind of rigged it to where one TV is on the back of the driver's seat and I threaded the hookup line through the middle headrest that pops up on the 2nd row, so then I can put the other TV on the back of the driver's side 2nd row. The line stretches from the driver's side headrest, beside of the little girl to the 3rd row.

So....I am going to buy a single DVD player to hook up and put on the back of the driver's seat for the little girl.

My problem is...the AV outlet for the 3rd row is on the passenger side. The passenger side is where the boys get out of (since the little girl is still in a booster seat and will be for a couple more years, it's easier to move up the one seat on the pass side 2nd row instead of the driver's side + middle seat). So, if I took the dual DVD players and hooked them up on the back of the 2nd row..the AV outlet would have to be plugged in thus causing a line across the passageway for the boys to get out.

Does anyone have any personal experience on doing their entertainment this way and have any tips on how I can make this work without having wires and plug ins going everywhere????

Soo sorry for long post!

I actually did try that but the cord wasn't long enough and I'm not sure how to go about getting a longer cord for it...

Let your daughter watch the dvds in the second row and get a dog for the boys to pay attention to for the third. ;-)

Rear Seat Entertainment? That is what the iPad 2 is for. I strap it to one of the headrests, and the kids have movies. I use a wireless USB transmitter and they each put AM/FM headsets on tuned to 88.5. Works great!
