DICE Electronics LLC - DRIVE | LIVE | ACCESSORIZE - MediaBridge
My local shop recommended this product for my 2007 Pilot EX. He told me that I can use factory stereo controls such as up and down buttons to control phone over Bluetooth connection. MediaBridge supports A2DP so that I can stream music from my Android phone as well. Does anyone have DICE MediaBridge installed on your Pilot? If you do, could you share your experience? Thanks in advance! Taka |

I am thinking about buying one as well for my 2006 Pilot, primarily to use for hands free calling. I have a Dice iPod adapter in my 2006 BMW, and have been satisfied with Dice's Customer Service. Does anyone have the Mediabridge in their Pilot?

I am researching the same for my new 2011 EX-L w/RES. Just got a mail from DICE that they have not tested on 2011 but from their perspective it looks like it will work on 2011 without issues.
Anyone here any experience with DICE on 2011 EX-L? |

I found one of my colleague has this on his Prius. He said he's pretty happy with the product.
While I continued searching for bluetooth radio, I happened to find two more candidates. First one is Parrot Asteroid. It's expected to arrive in the U.S. next month. PARROT ASTEROID - Apps, Web, Phone & Music in your car. It's less likely to be compatible with steering wheel control, but it's got so much more possibilities. I'm leaning towards this product at the moment. Second one is this. Ca-Fi Infotainment | Android? based in-car infotainment systems This needs to replace factory radio and won't come to U.S. until 2012 at earliest, but looks promising. Both runs Android, so you can install apps you like. Taka |

I finally pulled my trigger today, installed DICE MediaBridge 1500 at one of the reputable car audio shops in my area. It took about 1 hour to install. They installed the unit behind the center console where I can reach for firmware upgrade by detaching grove box.
My phone is Nexus S that's running Android 2.3. Bluetooth pairing was super smooth. The MediaBridge automatically connects to my phone when I get into my car. It takes about several seconds to get linked after turning on the radio. Due to the lack of AVRCP 1.3 or better in the current Android release, it doesn't show song title, etc but should work in future release. If you have iOS device, it should just work. Here's one thing that can be improved easily by firmware update. when I want to forward/rewind tracks or taking/hanging-up phone call, i have to turn TUNE dial on radio which seems a bit weird. Ideally, I should be able to forward track or taking/hanging-up phone call by pressing CH button on steering wheel (volume button works). Firmware upgrade should be able to make CH button work, but it's all up to DICE. Last edited by taka; 11-29-2011 at 09:48 PM. |
