Default Looking to purchase whole new sterio system for 2004 Honda Pilot EX

I am a new owner of a 2004 Honda Pilot EX and I am looking to upgrade the radio. Are there any suggestions on what brands to look for. Also, are there any subwoofers that could replace the stock one?

Are you looking for a single or double DIN? Also, were you planning on doing this yourself or having it installed?

It seemed like there were a lot more posts with PICs of systems and DIY on here than whats out here now...

Adjust the search settings especially the calendar that you allow the search to look through. Searches such as AVIC bring up the Pioneer Avic

I put a Clarion CX609 in my wife's 2004 Pilot EXL last year. This is a double DIN unit with Bluetooth & USB input, and can handle the newer generation IPODs. I bought this from Crutchfield and also ordered the module necessary to connect the remote control buttons on the steering wheel. Although this unit is discontinued, there is a newer version available for about the same price. Be advised that the factory subwoofer does not work after you put in an aftermarket head unit. We think the system sounds better even without the subwoofer. My wife was a hard sell on replacing the head unit, and now absolutely enjoys it, playing music from her phone through he unit and making hands-free calls.
