Well I've had a problem with the common "subwoofer rattle" that people get with these cars on my 08 Pilot.
Most fixes tell you to place a bit of EPT foam between the middle arch trim and the edge of the back window on the back right, and so I finally got around to opening her up. It turns out, that in my case, this wasn't the problem: it was a small pink anchor for a screw from the back trim that was moving in it's slot, causing the rattle. Here's a video of it: (sorry about the weird dimensions, taken with an iPhone) Fix: I put it in and taped it up with gorilla tape to hold it in place. Just putting this out there for people who are looking for another cause of rattle in their Pilot. Also check the seatbelt, because it could be hitting the back compartment thing and rattling. The reason I say stock rattle is because putting in an aftermarket sub will undoubtedly cause rattle in other places due to the more powerful nature of the new sub.

It holds a screw (the one in the back right cargo bin thing behind a square cover I believe)
Yes you can leave it out, just keep it and it's screw somewhere safe.
