Default AUX button?

I have a 2006 EX-L. It does not have a RES but the receiver has an AUX button. What does this AUX button control? Can I hook an ipod up to it?

Sorry to say, but the button doesn't do anything.

That seems strange to me. I wonder if there is an AUX hook up in the back of the HU ?

This is what I am hoping for. Not being the most handy type of person I would rather avoid taking out my HU just to see if it has an input jack.

unless i am an idiot (quite possible), the aux is for an ipod or other mp3 player. open up your center console and there is a jack (looks like a headphone jack) next to the 12 volt outlet. you can buy a cable that goes from that jack into the headphone connection port on your ipod or mp3. it will then play through your radio, but will not charge your device. hope that helps.

You can use the AUX button if you get the adapter...its about $130 to purchase and the same to install. Then you can plug in your IPOD, etc.

I have an aux cable that goes from the red and white audio plugs to a headphone jack and I plugged the audio cable side to the back of the center console, right below the rear a/c controls and ran the cable up to the front and played music through my iPod. But I don't know if you have those plugs in a 06 or without RES.
