Post Audio Upgrade 2004 Pilot EX-L w/ Navi

Hi, new to this forum. Just got a hand me down 2004 Pilot EX-L with Navi from my wife (in exchange for the 2011 Pilot Touring that I just got her). I'd like to install or have installed a new audio head end that has ipod/mp3 capability and hands-free bluetooth. I've seen some nice units including the following Sony unit Newegg.com - SONY In-Dash A/V Receiver with 6.1" Touchscreen & Bluetooth Model XAV62-BT. I use the car for commuting purposes so I just need something that does the job. I have read somewhere (perhaps this forum but can't find the source) that if you replace the audio head end with an aftermarket one that the Navi will not work. Can anyone advise? Also, is the installation something I should tackle? I know my way around a toolshop (though not the sharpest tool here) but just worry that I will end up with something that looks like it's been broken into. Any feedback would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!!!!

Thanks Cofetym. This seems to be a great forum. I took a look at the link for the '06 EX-L stereo you provided and it appears to apply to the factory installed rear entertainment system, which I don't have. Specifically, I'd like to know if I replace the head unit will the navigation system still work? There are some nice moderately price and feature rich double-din units out there that would be awesome to install. Thanks for your reply though, every bit of information helps.

Searching this one out myself. As of yet, it looks like a custom harness will need to be created to either run through or bypass the aftermarket head unit.

Thanks Familyguy. Anything you can come up with will be helpful. I am going to take the '04 Pilot to a highly recommended audio shop/installer and get their input. Will post it here. By the way, I called Crutchfield (it was in their website that I read that the NAV will not work after doing an audio upgrade) and while the customer service was nice he basically confirmed what was on the website.
