Default Head unit turning off randomly

I am new to this forum and I will give my intro later, but I have a question first. Last month I replaced the stock head unit in my 2009 Pilot with a new aftermarket head unit and left everything else stock. When I turn the volume up fairly loud, the entire head unit shuts off. It happens randomly, so I can't figure out the problem. Is there anything wrong with the head unit or maybe a loose connection is the culprit?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Did you check the fuse on the back of the unit? Is it a standard 10A? I would think loose connection first.
