Default Parking Break Lead

I've searched and searched the internet and I cannot find the information I need. I'm looking for the location and wire color of the parking break lead wire. I am installing a navigatio unit and need to tap into this. I do not wish to bypass this. Any help would be amazingly appreciate on this end!

What year is your car? You just want to know what color the wire is that turns the brake light on when you put the parking brake on?

It's a 2006. I need the color and location of the positive lead wire for the parking brake so the navigation unit knows when the brake is engaged, not the brake light.

There's a small connector slightly above the parking brake pedal. You should test the lead (GRN/RED) with a DMM. It will show ground when the parking brake is engaged. If your new unit truly requires a positive 12v signal, you'll need to convert the signal using a relay.
