Question '03 EX-L Stereo Upgrade (Pioneer AVH-P3200BT)

So I've finally decided to upgrade from the stock radio.
I've purchased
Pioneer AVH-P3200BT Pioneer AVH-P3200BT
and hope to install it soon.
As you know with the '03 EX-L there is the upper double din which is just cd/radio/cassette and then further down there is the single din dvd player for the backseat flip down dvd screen.

So my question is ... should I remove the single din and put a tray there instead? The new stereo receiver obviously plays dvds, but you can play movies off your ipod and plays divx. So should I connect the dvd flip down to my new receiver. I have yet to start the install, but I'm guessing if I did that then I would lose the use of the wireless headphones that came with the car?

Suggestions?

not exactly sure how i answered my own question??
reading more into it and it looks like that screen flip down uses infrared to send the signal to the headphones ... can anyone confirm that? Because if it does them I'm presuming that even if I do switch that screen over to my new receiver from the stock dvd player that my wireless headphones should still work correctly.
