Default IPOD-Touch Video Hook-Up w/RES

I have searched the forums but can find the specific answer to my question.

I know that in order to hook my ITouch up to my TV at home and play video, I need a special cord from Apple. Assuming I have that cord, can I play videos off of my ITouch on the RES in my 2011 EX-L with RES if I hook it up through the inputs on the center console that face the back seats?

Assuming the special cord has RCA plugs, yes

A noob response but I have to ask. Can I then source whatever I want to the front so I do not have to listen to High School Musical. I know I can do that with the DVD, but yesterday, my wife and I were trying to source different things to the front and back and gave up assuming that besides when the DVD was playing we had to listen to whatever the kids were listening to.

You don't say what year-my experience is with the first gen Pilots. Current gen may be the same.
The DVD/Aux button is either or not both. If you want to have HSM (oh god I hate that) in the rear, headphones for the kids. With the DVD in action you can source sound from the radio, CD or tape player-if so equipped.

Sorry - 2011 Ex-L w/RES. So - for example. Can I play XM for the kids in the back and a different XM station in the front or Aux(IPOD Video) in the back and XM in the front. No need to go into how to do it as long as I know I can do it, I will figure it out. I just did not want to order the cord from Apple only to find out I could not listen to what I wanted in the front. IF that is the case I will only buy DVDs, but the cord does make Videos a little cheaper over the long run.
