DC Power Inc. www.dcpowerinc.com They might take a while but they build incredible alternators

I'd like to install sound deadening on the floor, but can't take all the interior out right now as it's a daily driver. I was thinking about doing the front floor sections for now after seeing your photos.
this is my daily driver too I just have to work quick when its torn apart. Yes you can do the front floor in sections. The carpet splits at the console so you can peel each side back independently.

Finally got my power wire ran, 2 runs of 1/0 positive, and 1 run of 1/0 negative

This is the Alpine processor I decided to go with. OEM integration at its best

Looks good but I'd put some heavy duty split loom around those power cables at the rub points under the body.

I am definitely on the hunt for some... I have been inspecting it ever couple days or so to see how its holding up. I wish I could have fit it all through the firewall and under the carpet. That would have been one hell of a lump under the carpet though. I also forgot to mention that the wire hangs up higher than the brake lines so it shouldn't ever snag on anything

I love this build. I saw it on a car audio message board too I think. Isn't it in memory of a friend or something?

Nice work.

This thread, like Edog's video/nav install thread deserve sticky's or at least membership in a forum "Hall of fame" on this board.

Yep, I'm dedicating this to my friend Taylor who passed away earlier this year. He was my car audio helper and now I'm doing this all by myself. I have some plans for the speaker box to have his name and birth and death year etc. Hopefully he would be proud, we were going to do a similar install in his Civic this spring

TYVM! I didn't see anything like this on this board so I thought it would be cool to show you guys. I can't wait to get it up and playing so I can make some vids. I have a show the first week in September I really want to make to defend my title. (I won last year in my Acura MDX) I have the next 2 weeks off from grad school so I think its a realistic goal.

Looks great so far, can't wait to see the finished product.

Dumb question I'm sure, but I have to ask -- when you apply the sound-deadening, it seems to be in very small patches, leaving lots of places exposed. I'm sure it has to do with making it easier to install or avoiding covering wiring and whatnot, but in some cases it looks like it could have been accomplished with larger patches.

Clearly you've got some experience doing this, so I'm guessing there's a good reason to do it that way. Just curious...

I used smaller pieces on the doors because that deadener is thicker and stiffer than it looks. It helps it stick to the contours of the door a little better I guess. 100% coverage isn't really necessary according to the manufacturer. Damplifier pro is really expensive too so I'm trying to stretch out what I have. Single sheets are $10 and that's only 1.67 feet ^2 I've also had problems in the past with the panels fitting back on if I overlap too much and the deadener gets too thick. If I had a compressor and an air gun I would have probably sprayed it with Second Skin's spray on deadener. I also plan on filling in some of those open spaces before the panel goes back on for good as well. Hopefully I have the drivers door back together by tonight and then I can start on the passenger side.

Makes sense. Curiosity satisfied
