Hello!
Help a Newbie! Trying to install a new head light switch in my 03 Pilot(currently makes a loud buzzing noise(relay?) when starting and goes away when you turn the headlights on. Was told to replace the head lights switch. When I dissasembled the area, I took out the two small screws but the unit appears to still be locked in with some additional clamps or holder I'm not aware of. What else holds this in and does this sound like the fix for the problem I have? If not, is it the relay and how do you replace that(where is it?). Really appreciate your assistance with this! |

While this is an old string and NOBODY answered the guy ... there is a little round catch on the back of the switch. It is just in 1/2 inch or so in the middle. Take a small blade or thin screw driver and slide it in the back a bit and the catch will release.
If you look at the new one you will see the little plastice bump. Enjoy. |

UPDATE - changed this darn thing in June - Saturday night (July 30) was out for dinner, came out , no low beams. Then the parts guy says you need to bring the car in... NOT...
His manager had more of a brain and replaced the switch. The new one did not feel near as good a quality as the original.
