Default Steering wheel control

Don't know if this has been covered, and if so where the posts are but does anyone have any info on keeping steering wheel control with an after market radio. I am installing a Kenwood DDX516 in my 04 Pilot, and can not seem to find any after market CAN BUS interface that would let me retain my steering wheel capabilities. If anyone has any info that could help, please let me know. I dont know if it is because of my year Pilot that nothing is available or do to my head unit choice. Thanks in advance!

You need the PAC SWI-JACK. Price can vary online anywhere from $50 to $70.

Default So which is better??

Thanks for the reply, I was looking at the PAC website, and read up on the interface you reccomended, but I also researched a bit and found that METRA also makes an interface (Metra Electronics Corp. - ASWC) So my question now turns to finding which interface is better to use. I understand there is a lag time between pressing the button and the signal getting to the head unit. Also, how is installation accomplished? I mean where does the unit get installed to optimize the range on the unit? Again thanks for the help.

I don't have any experience with the Metra unit but most of our members have used the PAC version with success. Also I think you'll have an easier time finding the PAC SWI-JACK locally or online. The lag time bearable. It's just not as responsive as the OEM setup. Installation is easy especially if you've done this sort of thing before. I mounted mine underneath the center console for easy access since all you have to do is remove the lower side panel. This way I can get to the control module relatively quickly to make changes, adjustments, etc.
