Default Turn off maintenance indicator light

I am taking care of my own oil changes, but now my Pilot's maintenance indiator light is staying on at 7500 miles. Does anyone know how to turn it off?

Thanks!

If all else fails, check the owners manual......

It's actually pretty easy to do (referring to re-setting the maint req light, not checking the manual).

By the way, welcome to hondapilot.org, I see this is your first post.

Thanks a million!

I looked through the manual, but I guess I didn't look hard enough.

Default service light

hee hee... this is actually one of the items that the sales man highlighted in our owners manual. I guess the service techs have a bad habit of not resetting the light, and it causes customers to come back and complain.

Talking Thanx!

Yes, it was in the manual. But thanx! My wife came home fretting today, (just turned over 6K). Nice to know.

The internet is great, no?

Post Turn Off Maintenance light

Be patient. After some practice it gets easier. As one post read, sometimes you have to wait while holding the button in.

Thanks for bumping a 6 year old thread. If the OP hasn't figured it out yet by now, he should sell the Pilot!
