Default took off the manifold

here are some pictures of the manifold getting taken off. It had to be done because a mouse decided to eat through a couple of wires.

these are not all the pics, I am going to try and get enough for a step by step.

this pic shows the top of the intake off. these are what gets clogged with carbon to give you a bad egr reading.

closer look.

these bolts have to come off to remove the intake. there are more ports under the metal gasket.

intake is off. I left the throttle body connected to everything. You dont have to do this....you can get something to catch all the coolant that will come out and use vise grips or something to pinch off the hoses.

the same way they get into the vent system and the blower housing to make a nest and die leaving a nasty odor. they chew their way in.

ARGGGGH.... Dang mice are a pain. I'm having problems with them in a small outdoor barn where I store my lawn tractor. I've tried using mothballs to deter them with no success!!
I'm hesitant to set traps as I am concerned that it will just attract more mice. Does anyone know of a good repellent for mice??

I had a mices chrew through some wires on the Acura. Little bugger cost me $800.

With all the destruction of land in SoCal they have little place else to go but your warm car.
