I'm sure that this has been discussed before, but I'm new to this forum and I didn't see it in any past posts.
The oil filter that I purchased from the local Honda dealer is very small. It is considerably smaller diameter than the one that was factory installed. Are people using these, or is there a better choice? Why doesn't the dealer sell the filter that was orignally installed? Thanks Trevor |

The Honda dealer I use for parts still has a stash of the older 305 oil filters. If you know enough to ask you can still get them. I find it very interesting that the parts guy and the lead mechanic refuse to switch their Pilots over to the smaller filter...
I found a couple of people with over stocks of these filters on ebay and stocked up, (I have a lifetime supply for my Pilot in my garage). I'm considering switching the CRV over to this filter. |
