Default Replacemento of Cabin Filiter

Thanks to Hondaman2's presentation of removal/replacement of Cabin Filter, I was able to do the job in less then an hour. I couldn't believe how dirty the old cabin filter was. Again thanks and I'll be checking this forum out again should I need DIY help.

Are you sure it was dirty or are you mistaking the charcoal impregnating filter for dirt?

Pull the left lower trim off the console and vacuum the screen while you're at it. Takes 5 minutes and might help prevent the rear blower issue.

Rear blower Transistor Fix

Note: I think Honda changed this design at some point, so I'm not sure what model years are affected past 2006.

I believe Honda changed this. But I don't know what year the change was effective.

Here is a tutorial on how to change the Cabin Air Filter on a 2009-2013 Pilot. Pretty simple now. No cutting, no bolts to remove...it can now be done in a couple minutes or less.

Here are a few options on Cabin Air Filters:
Ebay- $12.95
http://www.ebay.com/itm/TYC-800003P-...3983eb&vxp=mtr

Amazon- $11.33
Amazon Amazon
TYC 800003P Honda Replacement Cabin Air Filter : Amazon.com : Automotive

HandA Accessories- $27.74 plus shipping (for me to Colorado, $10...Total $37.74)

I tried reading most of the 24 pages to see if anyone responded to the Accord owner -

My 2000 Accord Coupe used (2) cabin filter elements (stacked vertically). Honda included a removable metal bar that must be removed (along with the glove box). Very simple.

Bruce - go up a little in this thread and view the video. 2009 and newer Pilots are very easy. I just changed the (must be the original) cabin filter in my 2011 this morning.
