Do you guys use 5w20 or just use 5w30? I know Honda recommends 5w20. Does it matter?.

I use 5w20 that is what Honda recommends. I also change oil at 4500 mile intervals.

changed to mobil 1 0W/30, will be changing every 7500 miles. coming from michigan too, I think your 5W/20 should be okay. the honda oil is also made by mobil, the non-synthetic stuff however.

Either will 5W20 or 5W30 will work just fine. Our engines were originally designed to run 5W30 (same engine in the MDX and Odyssey), but changed to recommending 5W20 to meet fuel economy standards (improvements measured in tenths of a mpg) for 2003. Given the choice, I take the slightly better protection of 5W30 vs the slight fuel economy gain of the 5W20.

Right on!!!!! All I might add is I would would probably run 5W20 more, at least in the winter months, if the oil companies weren't set on gouging the consumer with 20-30% higher prices for the 5W20 over the 5W30.
