Default Honda engine oil

I saw this on the Honda Canada website
Notes:

Use Genuine Honda 5W20 Motor Oil

Is a 5W20 oil used because of the colder climate in Canada, or is it recommended in the USA also?
(If not, what is the recommended viscocity?)

5w20 is the recommend oil viscosity for the Honda Pilot in the United States also. Many auto manufactures are moving to the 5w20 viscosity oils for mileage and lubrication efficiency.

I'm trying to be patient, but the waiting is killing me. My next question is whether the Pilot is coming from Alliston, Canada or Anniston, Alabama? I hear now that the Alabama facility won't be making Pilots until April. My dealer told me my Pilot is coming from Alabama. My guess is that my dealer was misinformed.

In the meantime, you can browse the '03 Owner's Manual online. Then you'll be ready to explain all the differences in the '04 manual to the rest of us.
