Default synth. oil vs. regular oil???

How many people are using synth. oil vs. regular oil?
What weight and brand do you use?
How often do you change your oil?

thanks ---edwelly

Do a search on synthetic or oil and you'll find several threads that discuss this topic in the Maintenance forum, including this one. My dealer use Castrol 5W20 regular oil, and I follow the severe schedule and have it changed every 3,750 miles.

Wink Too heated a topic......

.....for me to discuss. Every time I do it gets heated, but here's an example of (at least in the beginning) good discourse that I was involved in regarding synthetics:

sorry if I amd soem people mad with this thread - I didn't wnat this trhead to become a "my oil is better than you oil" thread/war. I jsut wanted to know a few things like:
How many people are using synth. oil vs. regular oil?
What weight and brand do you use?
How often do you change your oil?

Check out this poll on favorite oils, and regular vs. synthetic. More opinions about oil than there are oils on this board.
