Question FilterMAG- Magnetic Oil Filter Cover

Greetings,

I was over at the SEMA web site (http://sema.org/) looking over there new products section when I came across the FILTERMAG Magnetic Oil Filter Covering. The people at FilterMAG (http://www.filtermag.com) claim it will clean your Oil of particles down to the 2 micron level! I was wondering if anyone has heard of this product or have used it. They have one for the Honda Pilot, but it is $47.95. I have heard of magnetic oil plugs before but this seems like a lot of money for magnet oil filter cover! Any thoughts??

-Chris

I've looked into this product and have heard good things over at www.bobistheoilguy.com. What I read though was that the claimed benefits/numbers applies only to their biggest model they offer. But I was thinking, even if the model/size for the Pilot works as half as good, it just might be worth it.

However, living up in Canada, it turned out that it'll cost close to $100CDN with duties and S&H cost for me. I passed on it. But, I just might time an order so it'll be delivered to my parents place in Los Angeles next time we visit them.

Skip it.

I just let the filter do its job. Most here ar already changing the filter 2 or 3 time more often then recommended.
