Default re: light reset

As indicated in the service manual perform the following steps to reset the maintenance light:

1) Turn off engine
2) Press and hold the SELECT/RESET button on the instrument panel, then turn the ingition switch ON
3) Hold the button for approximately ten seconds until the indicator resets.

By the way it is on Page 69.

I just did the oil change ahead of schedule as well. Is the select reset button the one for the odometer?

Have not gotten the light yet, but when I ran across this thread, it turned one on in me brain: though me wife claims its a fluorescent bulb: I tell her it was upgraded to an led and now it can virtually blink for ever.

Yes, it is. It's the one that displays Trip A, Trip B or temp depending on how it's pushed.

N_Jay,

Cool, I just went out and did that wonder if that resets it for the next 7.5K miles though I did mine at 5.8K ish. Thanks for the info.

On my return to post here I just noticed the owners manual on here and so took a peak through there. At first I was thinking it was about the manual not THE MANUAL. Glad Kemosabe went to the trouble of putting it on here. Would have thunk the Honda Of America would have provided a link to it for this forum with ability to do a search etc.

Wonder if its possible to put in a control for an economy mode for the AC on this beast. Remember seeing a diagram for one in Popular Mechanics way back when.
