Default Motor mount

Got rid of my thump noise today by replacing the front and right motor mounts on my 04. Took a little over 2 hrs and used aftermarket Anchor brand from Rock Auto. I hope they last as long or longer than the OEM that I hear complaints about. Be sure to use some type of penetrating oil before start and anti seize on the threads going back together.

Just saw a triangle with the letters DTR in the middle of the old mounts. I guess this is who makes the factory mounts.
DTR Industries,Inc.

DTR is based on TRI (Tokai Rubber Industries) Ltd. established in 1929 in Japan and is known as the leading company in the automotive rubber products field.

Same, Have someone put on the brake, put it in Drive and give it a little gas. You will see the broken mount. Get your parts at Rock Auto. I used the Anchor 9441 front and right front 9389. Not hard to change, remove the two black plastic covers from the top of the engine. Put penetrating oil on all nuts and bolts. The hardest bolts to brake loose are the ones on the right mount that screw into the painted part of the frame. You can change the Right mount without lifting the engine or anything. Install and leave loose. I used 2 floor jacks with wooden boards on them, one on the oil pan and the other on the trans. You have to raise the engine to remove the mount. The front mount is the hardest, but not bad. The hardest bolt to get to is the right rear one. The mount is tight to remove but will come out without removing the radiator hose. Put the top nut on the new front mount and let it hang. It will look like it's out of alignment but will be ok once you start lowering the floor jacks. Good luck

Hi there,
I noticed you installed the same front mount as I did. Did you just leave the vacuum inlet connection as is since the old one does not have any?
After test driving the car I noticed more firmness upon acceleration and a little bit more rough idling when in D and stopped but that is probably due to the new hard rubber...

Awaiting to hear back from you!

Default Re: Motor mount

Great customer service from Anchor:

"I received your inquiry this
afternoon and yes the Anchor
9441 is the right mount for
your Pilot. The mount also fits
the Odyssey which requires
the vacuum line. Your vehicle
does not require the line.

The Odyssey has experienced
vibration problems at low idle
and the mount is a dual
chamber mount that would go
to soft ride mode if there was
vibration at idle. Once the
vehicle accelerates, the mount
returns to firm ride mode.
Your vehicle does not
experience this problem and is
in firm ride mode all of the
time. It is better for our
customers if we can
consolidate original parts
wherever possible and we
have done this in your case."

No I didn't mess with the vacuum port on my Pilot. Works just fine.
