Default rear braking problem?

I have a 2005 honda pilot, I would say I have advanced auto repair skills. I just replaced the brakes all the way around. I was aware that I was having problems with the rear brakes during the last replacement, I could see that rears rotors were not wearing correct, there was pitting and rust, telling me that there was not enough everyday pressure to the rear brakes making the total system wear for stopping power. Bleeding does not seems to be the problem, what am I missing?

Well the first thing I would look at is the caliper pistons and the calper slide pins. If the slide pins were frozen, you find all the rear braking being done by the inside pad. If the caliper piston was frozen, you would find no braking being done by either pad.

Are your inner rear inner pads worn more than the outer ones? Is there rust forming on both sides of your rear rotors (or just the outside)?

One of my favorite companies, Centric (think Stoptech & Powerslot), also sell re-manufactured calipers. The loaded rear calipers (all shims clips & posi-quiet pads included) for the Pilot are part number 142.40514 & 142.40513. Seem to sell around $75 each shipped:

142.40514 - Google Search

They also sell the caliper alone for a little over half that. Part number 141.40514 & 141.40513. Google shows them about $45-50 each shipped:

BTW: When ordering online, always search for coupon codes for the various stores. You can usually find between 5-15% off. AdvanceAutoParts.com has a $40 off $100+ order right now which is just crazy. I don't know if they sell Centric though. Code is "CCABIN".

i would say its on both sides, it's as if the the total pressure to the back is lower than the fronts during normal breaking. I dont think it a bleed issue either?

Even a little pressure to the back will grind the rust right off a rotor.

I know there is some pressure, just not enough to properly seat and wear the rotors as per normal?

What he meant is the pads are pretty much sitting on the rotors so even the slightest pressure to the calipers will rub off the rotor rust. You could try bleeding that one corner and see if that helps, otherwise new caliper(s).
