I just ordered a Fumoto quick valve (F-106) and adaptor (ADL-106). I came across this on our forum Oil Drain Deflector Shield - Gold - Bernardi Honda Parts and Accessories was wondering if anyone has used this and your thoughts? Thanks jr

My brother's jeep has something similar, it allows the oil to flow down a certain path. It's nice but I certainly wouldn't pay any money for it because one way or another the oil goes into a catch pan.
I have the fumoto and it works well but if I had to do it over I wouldn't have bought it. It works well but it does make the oil flow out alot slower. Such as you could probably undo the drain plug and have the oil flow out totally in <30 secs. With the fumoto I'm sitting there waiting 5+ mins until the drip out slows down alot. Sure the idea of not using a wrench or crush washers is a good idea but really you could buy a 20 pack of the same size washers online for like $4 dollars and it'll last you like 100k+ miles. |
