i have on 07 fwd pilot. I took it in to get new tires and asked them to check the pads. I have about 45k miles on it. They said front and rear are worn to 1/32 and the front rotors need to be replaced because they have burn spots on them. Am I being screwed? Why would the rears wear the same as the front? I am being quoted $370 for new pads,2 rotors in the front and labor.

You don't even have to remove the wheels to see pad depth. You can decide if they are telling the truth or not.
Just tell them to do the tires.

The rear pads generally wear out slower than the front pads. If this is a dealership, the quote of $370 for the pads, front rotors, and labor doesn't seem right (too low). If this is an independent repair shop and you have not used it before, you may want to get another opinion from a "trusted" mechanic (try seaching for an AAA approved shop near you).

I agree with Rocky. I also would replace the pads myself first, then see how it drives. I'm still on original rotors with 136k miles on my '06 FWD, even with Atlanta traffic...lol

I just replaced the pads on my 07 and the rotors were great with 53K. The front pads could of lasted because they may have been replaced before I bought it from the dealership, but I had them out and new ones in hand so I replaced them anyways. The rears were worn and I swapped them out too.
