I have a squeaky belt at cold start-ups. goes away after warm up. car has 50k currently. I have Honda Care (not sure the terms 6yrs I think).
anyway, I call the dealer to set up an appointment and tell them I have extended Warranty. However, service advisor tells me it's a Maintenance or wear and tear item so it's not covered. what say you piloteers?

I don't have it with me right now, but I called Honda Care and they said the following:
Timing Belt - If found "defective" then it's covered Everything else is wear and tear - Not Covered

Belts, tires, brakes, etc are considered wear items and not covered. You can ask for goodwill coverage to keep you as a happy repeat customer......
