Now that I stopped bringing the Pilot in to Honda for oil changes, I 'll need to start lubricating these points when I change the oil.
Just wondering what everybody here uses and what points you lubricate? Also does anybody treat the rubber/black rubber like material around the doors, inside the hood and around the rear hatch? What do you use? I see on the Honda supply websites they sell something called shin-etsu grease? But can I just use regular armor-all? |

I think I'll use some white lithium grease, that I use on the garage door hinges. That should work well for the hinges on the Pilot.
Found this :http://www.armorall.com/faq/interior.php

I have always used a light spray of white lithium on door hinges and hood latches.
I use dielectric grease for door weatherstripping, It's the same stuff you put on spark plug boots before installing them. just use a small amount and keep working it around the seal. It also works great in the winter to prevent the door seal from freezing. |
