Okay, so this is for my brother's 2000 Ford Taurus, not a Pilot, but an a/c system is an a/c system, right? (Mods, feel free to move this to "Other Automobiles" if you want.)
Anyway, I helped my brother replace his a/c compressor, and it's not blowing cold air. The "new" compressor is from a junk yard, but evidently they tested it and it's fine. And now that it's in my bro's car, the compressor turns on (the clutch engages), but it's not blowing cold air. He had it working for a day or two, but then, like I said, it stopped blowing cold. He tried adding more refrigerant, but he said it didn't seem like it would take it. He thought of adding more refrigerant oil to the compressor, but wouldn't he lose all the refrigerant he's already put in if he did that? Any ideas? Thanks!

Junk yard compressors are notoriously bad.
