I recently purchased a used 07 Pilot EX-L with 4WD and about 43K miles. I was trying to figure out what the maintenance schedule is for the vehicle and have the manual but it is very vague. Is there a separate maintenance schedule (which I may be missing) or if anyone could briefly list the recommended services I sure would appreciate it. I know that the car has an "oil life" read out but does anyone know the recommended mileage to change? I also saw a recommended timing belt change at 60K....that seems really short, is that right? Any assistance is appreciate, thanks a lot!ffice

A 2007 has a "maintenance minder" display that shows codes when service is needed. The codes should be listed in the manual and tell you what srvice is needed. Also, you may want to register your Pilot on Honda's "Owner Link" web page that also lists the codes for service maintenance. I have an 05 that follows a traditional "per mile" service plan.

Thanks that's helpful. So if I am driving the vehicle in normal driving conditions I should wait until it tells me to change the timing belt (or other major maintenence like spark plugs)? Rather than just doing it at a certain mileage?

Yes, for example, on our Odyssey the MM code for timing belt is "4" which would occur at or near 105,000 miles. To be honest however, as an engineer in my "working days", I am consevative in performing maitenance. We changed the timing belt at 100,000 miles and plugs at 105,000 miles. I have never waiting for the MM light to go on. I service on a 5,000 schedule. My oil life is at about 30% when I get it changed, but has been as low as 20%.
