Default DIY Air Filter on 2007 - probably an easy question

I just purchased a replacement engine air filter - I've gotten sick of the dealer charging me well over $100 to replace them, so I want to give it a go myself (2007 Pilot). Where/how does one access the air filter on the 2007s?

The engine air filter is easy. There are four (4) phillips head screws holding the filter compartment, one on each corner. Loosen those screws, lift the compartment cover. Remove the old filter and insert the new one in same way as old one came out. Replace the cover, make sure it is seated properly, tighten the four screws and you are good to go.

Just to make sure, do you mean the air filter for the engine or the cabin filter for the interior?

Engine Filter - replaced it last night. As the other person said, there's four phillips head bolts. I ended up using an 8mm socket and 8" extentsion on them, becuase they were on VERY tight and the phillips head screwdriver wasn't budging them. Took me a grand total of 15 minutes, mainly struggling with the bolts. Thanks for your help guys!

That was my experience as well. They must use a gorilla to tighten those little b*gg*rs.

BTW, tip for anyone using a socket wrench-tape the socket to the extension. Mine dropped off and fell down to the bottom of the bumper. A little fishing and I got it out. I know always tape mine to the extension before using it.

Also, the screws don't have to come all the way out, just enough to allow you to remove the top half of the aircleaner.

Agreed they are stay screws so they don't come out all the way.

Btw did you really pay someone $100 to change engine air filters?
