Default Compliance Bushings

Has anybody replaced the Compliance Bushings. If so, did you do it yourself ? Any pictures hint would be helpful.
Thank You, John

I think he is referring to the lower control arm bushings?

If so, any machine shop can press the old ones out and new ones in. The rear doughnut bushing can also be burned out, hammered out, etc, but that seems like work. I've done several Honda's with same control arm design. Pretty easy work.

They also sell the entire lower control arm complete with ball joint. Honda of course and aftermarket on RockAuto, Ebay.

The large bushing in my front lower control arm has signs of cracks. I wonder if a heavy duty version of the bushing is avaliable.

Almost any rubber part exposed to the environment for years is going to crack and harden.

There might be a urethane bushing from Energy Suspension or Prothane.com. However, they are going to make the truck ride more like a truck.

Default Lower Control Arm Replacement

Having decided against the "Compliance Bushing" replacement I've decided to consider the lower control arm, complete w/all bushings, route. Now I need to look at the front end to see how much of an undertaking it would be.
The least expensive is Nevotech at $149.68 ea. from autopartswarehouse.com.
Does anybody have experience with this source ? Any suggestions ?

Did anything happen with this one? I just got our '06 EX-L back from the dealer today saying it needs its compliance bushings replaced and they're wanting $400. Sounds like I could almost buy new control arms for the same price? How badly damaged do they need to be to really warrant replacement?

On my '04 you hear a clunk when hitting bumps. a visual inspection showed large cracks in the rear most, larger, bushing. I bought new lower control arms with all the bushings installed for about $115 ea ?. and took 4 hours to install them both. No air tools, in my garage, by myself. You do need a "pickle tool".
