I know that this question has been addressed in some threads, but I am anal and need a more in-depth answer.
I am trying to ensure that I have the correct amount of tranny fluid in my 05' Pilot. The manual that I have (bootleg cd for 03' pilot shop manual) says to get the vehicle to normal operating temperature, park on level ground, shut it off and check the level within 60-90 seconds. 1) Is this the correct procedure for a 2005? 2) Also, it seems like right when you shut it off the fluid begins to drip down into the pan. If you check it right away it reads a little low and if you check it at the end of the 90 seconds it reads a little high. Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated. |

Correct, turn it off, check it as soon as you can.
