Default Towing package identification

I just inherited my dad's 2005 EX. He had an after-market receiver hitch installed, but I don't know whether he had the 'towing package' installed. I understand that consists of a transmission fluid cooler, power steering fluid cooler, a hitch and wiring harness. How can I tell by looking whether this has been done or not?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Wires: If you see wires (flat four plug) by the tow hitch, then the wiring was done.

If you look through the holes in the bumper and see a smooth pipe making a u shape rather than one with cooling fins, the transmission cooler was not done. If you don't see the T cooler, I'd be pretty certain the steering cooler wasn't fitted either.

Like Rocky said, look into the area behind the front bumper, in front of the condensor and radiator. If the coolers are installed, you'll see 4 long tubes running the length of the radiator from left to right.

They'll have cooling vanes on em also. Take a peek at some of the aftermarket sites that sell tranny packages to see what a power steering and transmission cooler look like.

Did your dad carry bikes or tow something to your recollection? Lots of folks who carry bikes and cargo on a hitch didn't get the coolers that are beneficial when actually towing heavier loads.
