Go to the following link, go to page 2, then look at pictures #3, 4 and 5 on that page. It explains (by a Honda mechanic) how to adjust the parking brakes on a Pilot.

It could be e brake springs,it happened to me in my car, my e brake springs broke and they were make the similar noise.Its actually the parking brake in the manual,but frankly mines not that good for that either. If I set it I can still feel the vehicle slide back onto the parking pawl.The parking brake consists of a drum and shoes contained within the rear disk. In effect the rear brake is disk and the parking brake is a drum.Disks are by their nature self adjusting,drums.
