Default Tming Belt Kits??

Well, its time for me to do a timing belt swap on my 04 Pilot. I have done many on Honda's, but before I takle the job, I like to do my research for all of the parts that need to be replaced. I am one of those types that once I get in, I change what needs to be swapped while I am in there. With all that said, I am making this post to ask a question. Does anyone know where on the net I can get timing belt parts, or kits to do this job? I know tensioners, belts, seals etc all need to be swapped, but it seems there are no places that I can find to buy these parts. If any of you guys know the inside track, can you please let me know. Thanks for your time.

Hey, welcome to piloteers.org!

I can't say for sure what all is 'needed, but I'll be watching this thread to see what others recommend to be changed.

When my '04 gets to that point, I'll change the belt, water pump, and tensioner(s) for sure. Of course, if there is a gasket, I'll change that too. I say "if", because sometimes these parts use liquid gasket in lieu of a normal gasket.

What mileage are you at on your '04? I'm about 100 miles shy of 72K on my '04.

Again, welcome!

I see them here for the 02-04 Ody.

Pilot may not be far behind.
You could contact them and ask if it's in the works.

good find...thanks ! certainly looks legit and probably just a bit cheaper than the other place once shipping is considered.

besides everything in this kit, i'm wondering what else i would need for my 105K service to really make sure i cover everything. only things that come to mind are spark plugs, coolant flush, and air cabin filter (haven't done it in a while). anything else? thanks!

I don't agree with what they're showing in this eBay kit. The valve cover gasket and spark plug seals are part of a valve adjustment and are not in with the timing belt/water pump kit. I usually point people towards the hydraulic adjuster, which is about $80, and tell them that it's better to have it if they need it when the thing's apart, adn to simply return it for credit if the adjuster ends up being good.

Not a bad idea to do, but the parts are mutually exclusive of one another. Besides, I can beat that price anyways
