Our Pilot is nearing the 100K mark. It actually has 92K on it. What should I expect to pay for the major service? It seems our local dealer is usually higher on everything but oil changes. About 6 months ago they quoted over $1000 for it. I am in Mansfield, OH and have no problem going out of town if its worth the drive and time. Thanks.

Have them give you an ITEMIZED quotation.
Use your owners manual to help you decide what you need. If they are doing the timing belt, you should probably get the water pump and idler replaced as a precaution.

There is no standard 100K (or 92K for that matter) service, likewise no standard for what is a "major" service, so pretty hard to estimate a cost for a undefined service. What does the car need?
If you're talking about the 105K timing belt service, I'd wait until 105K. There is no compelling reason to do it earlier. - Mark |
