Question pollen filter - where does thing go?

Just bought a pollen filter - the standard owner's manual doesn't talk at all about it.
Short of poking around the dashboard/firewall area looking for clues, can someone direct me where to start/how to replace this thing?
Thanks,

Hey welcome!

Do a search for cabin air filter and you'll get an idea of what's involved when changing the cabin af.

What year is your Pilot? I think all pre-2009 models have the filter mounted vertically, behind the glove compartment door. The process involves removal of the door and cutting a plastic "bar" that is only there during assembly.

Trust us, once we know the year of you Pilot we can steer you to the r/r of the cabin air filter and the cutout of the plastic bar. It is absolutely necessary to cut it out to get to the filter.

I'll try to post a link for help.

I walked away for about an hour as I wrote the above post.

Here is the link DIY Cabin Filter Replacement and it will walk you through the entire process.

I've changed my cabin filter 3 times since new.

Remember, if you are the original owner and have never changed out the filter, you WILL have to cut the plastic piecs running horizontally infront of the metal bar. ( You'll see this when you remove the glove box. )

I also have never had to remove the door trim that runs along the length of the passenger door. Only had to remove the front most part that is identified on the first page of the link.

Don't worry about this DIY, it is very easy and will become readily apparent once you remove the glove box.

Lastly, the purpose of the caf is to filter out and remove particulates in the cabin air flow. They become filthy just like your home a/c and heating filters.

Let us know how it goes.

At 15k mi, I felt the car is little not as smooth. Right after I changed the air filter for the engine, hesitation disappeared and speed pick up faster.
