Default Who does your tire rotations?

I've been trying to decide on what to do for my tire rotations.

I found that Discount Tire Centers will do lifetime (of the original tires) Balance & rotation for $80 on my 07 Pilot.

Curious what others out there are doing that don't have the equipment.

I have the dealership rotate tires, with a coupon for $9.00, on the Pilot. On my pickup I have discount because I bought new tires there.

I still have the OEM tires on our Pilot, so I just take it to the local mechanic up the street and pay them about $20 to do a tire rotation.

After I replace them, I'll have the tire dealer rotate them for free.

On that deal from Discount Tire, is that the lifetime of the vehicle or the tires? Does it require a tire purchase? Most tire places will rotate and balance tires for the life of the tires if you bought them there.

If you think you'll get at least 4 rotations in before you need new tires, then I'd say that deal is good.

The other downside is that if you move away and aren't near a Discount Tire Center, then you'll probably never take it back there to take advantage of the deal.

I purchased my last set at Costco, so they do my balancing and rotations.
FYI they do not let you change them earlier than their mileage....

I do my own. I always end up loosening and retourquing the lugs anyway. The tire stores always torque them way too much. This past winter when I had the Vatiivas installed, I checked the torque when I got home, and one lug nut would barely come off with my impact.

I do my own as well. It only takes about 15 minutes and I know they are rotated and torqued correctly.

My independent tire store does it for free for the lifetime of the tires.

I do my own on my TSX, every oil change.

Because I get the oil changed for free at Honda, I get the rotation done then too... for free. I would do them myself if I did the oil changes.

The deal from Discount Tire Center is the lifetime of the tires. And no you don't need to purchase the tires from them you can just buy the balance and rotate package for the tires that came with the car.

I think for 80 bucks I'm going to do it. Rotate every 5000. That is about 12 rotates for $80. ~7 bucks a rotation. not bad

Personally I'd rather invest the $80 into a good torque wrench (I don't have one yet) and do it myself. But that's the kind of guy I am.
